The Untamed Virginia Adventure Race is becoming a classic mid-Atlantic
endurance experience; more an adventure than a race!

Untamed Virginia Adventure Race Location
30-Hour Course
The race check-in will take place in downtown Richmond, VA. The Richmond Crowne Plaza is the host hotel (stay tuned for
reservation information and details regarding discounts for Untamed racers!).
Richmond is in central VA, along I-95. For reference, Richmond is
approximately 90 miles from Virginia Beach,
100 miles from Washington DC,
200 miles from Philadelphia, 240 miles from Charlotte, and 240 miles from Pittsburgh.
The race will take place over a secret course. Teams will learn the starting location
of the race and take possession of their maps and race instructions
once they complete the team check-in procedure on Friday Sept 12th; the race instructions will
communicate the secret course details.
All we're saying at this point is that the 30-hour race course will be 100+ miles and might run North, South, East, or
West of Richmond (and any combination of those!).
4-Hour Course
Racers in the 4-hour event will learn the race start location the week prior to the event (this ensures it's a surprise
and racers can't practice on the race course). 4-hour course racers
are welcome to come out on Friday evening, Sept 12th, to check out the 30-hour race
prologue and complete check-in . . . but this is optional.
The 4-hour race will require teams arrive at the race location at 8 AM on Sunday, September 14th.
All we're saying at this point is that the 4-hour race course will be a fun 15+ miles; the course will share portions of the 30-hour
race course, including the race finish line.
