The Untamed Virginia Adventure Race is becoming a classic mid-Atlantic
endurance experience; more an adventure than a race!

Race Discipline: Paddling
The Untamed Virginia Advenure Race will include significant
paddling sections, on both flat and moving water. Teams should
be prepared for up to Class 2+ water in some cases.
There also could be
portaging opportunities for teams.
Teams of two must paddle a canoe; teams of three are permitted a canoe and a kayak
(but they may choose to all 3 paddle in a canoe); teams of 4 are permitted a canoe
and a kayak.
The maximum canoe length permitted for teams racing
officially 17'0". There are no requirements in terms of kayaks.
The race will not provide watercraft for teams; you are responsible for
bringing your own boats to the race.

available to source canoes for Untamed Virginia racing teams.
